FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Widespread rain is shifting east. It should clear by around 12 pm. Scattered showers and storms may pop up this afternoon due to a cold front arrival. Isolated severe storms possible – 60 mph wind concern. Additional flash flooding will be likely with heavy rain. Some folks in Bay, Gulf, Calhoun and Liberty counties are reporting 4-8” of rain from Monday into Today. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Thursday morning for 2-4 more inches of rain. The cold front will stall over north Florida Wednesday and Thursday, leaving elevated rain chances in the forecast. By Friday and through the weekend, drier trends should prove true with our typical summertime pattern returning. Temperatures will rise from the low 80’s Tuesday to near 90 by Sunday.
